Part 3: Stabilization & Body Balance

Stabilization and Body Balance

Sprained ankles, hurt backs, and fractures of the arms, legs, or hip can all be related to poor balance. Learn exercises to create segmental stability, muscles that cross a single joint. Once segmental stability is achieved, we will learn exercises that integrate the gross stabilizers-muscles crossings several joints. The stability of the pelvis is intimately linked to the stability of the structures above and below it. We discuss proper pelvic alignment and exercises that will assist in correcting misalignments.
